Good generator for my use. I purchased this for my mobile automotive detailing business for when power is unavailable. It had no problem running my 2 gallon air compressor, my 1500 watt work lights and my 6hp shop vac. I haven't run them all at the same time because it is not typical that I'd be vacuuming and using the compressor simultaneously anyway. It does bog down a bit at first but that's expected because its a surge. Just like when you're at home and the AC kicks on, your lights dim a bit and it's no big deal. I don't know if I could recommend it for home use but if it powers up my compressor which is a power demanding tool I couldn't see it having a problem running basic bare necessities such as lights or even a refrigerator.. If you are concerned that you need anything more than obviously you'd have to pony up the additional $$$ but this is a great emergency use/entry level unit and for the price you can not go wrong. Starts on the first pull. Which is a must since I am using this for business purposes I don't ant afford to be toying around for extended amounts of time. Handles could be a little better designed. They fold down, but the style uses pins that need to be pulled and replaced when folded up/down. Easy set up. My unit didn't come with oil so make sure you have some or get some. Oil filling is kind of a pain in the neck process due to position of the filler/dipstick. There are better units on the market but for the price this is great!Powermate 3KW Generator By R. Fadel
I picked up this unit on Amazon mainly for relatives use. I did my homework and read the reviews. Great little unit. Does what it needs to.
A refrigerator, a separate Freezer, the TV (Cable box) and some lights. The draw back was extension cords all over the place which is a small price to pay when the power is out. It was used for 2 days during Sandy, than moved to another friend who lost his service to the house due to fallen tree.
Unit was nice and quiet. Seemed to be very fuel efficient. Easy to start. I would absolutely suggest this to someone more elderly or mechanically challenged.

Generator came in torn up box left at our garage. Packaging could have been better. Multiple scratches on gastank of "new"equipment. Assembled easily, good manual and directions. Started easily once I figured which way to turn the choke lever. Works fine but noisy, muffler rattled against frame, still noisy even after corrected. Right price, will serve my purpose well, but buy a Honda if you want one for a campground.
